The STIHL FS 261 C-E Brushcutter is a professional petrol clearing saw, built for landscape maintenance, horticulture and agriculture professionals working across large areas. With a 520 mm cutting diameter, it is ideal for extensive cutting tasks and maintaining areas of vegetation.

The STIHL 2-MIX engine combines high power output with efficient fuel consumption and meets EU Stage V emissions standards. The integrated carburettor compensator keeps performance, exhaust quality and fuel consumption virtually constant even as the air filter becomes progressively contaminated, allowing long working periods without maintenance. The manual fuel pump reduces the number of pulls needed to start, especially after extended breaks.

Starting is made easy by STIHL ErgoStart: a smooth, even pull is all it takes to start the engine. The FS 261 C-E is supplied as standard with the STIHL 300-3 brushcutter blade, which removes brush, thorny hedges and tough grass with precision.

The ADVANCE Grip handles provide innovative ergonomics, with the side-mounted locking lever contributing to intuitive operation and more hand-position options. The ergonomic two-handed loop handle supports a natural cutting motion, adjusts without tools and can be rotated 90° for compact transport and storage. The single-handed multi-function grip integrates all relevant controls and suits both right- and left-handed operators. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibration transmission to the handle area, making work considerably less tiring. The large-capacity fuel tank, in translucent material, allows a quick level check and extends intervals between refuelling. A simple slider switches between summer and winter operation.

The double shoulder harness is supplied as standard, ensuring comfortable use even during extended sessions. The large cutting guard offers better protection against debris and small stones thrown up during work. The FS 261 C-E is compatible with a range of additional cutting tools — grass blades, mulching blades, circular saw blades and various cutting heads.
