The STIHL BTA 140 Cordless Earth Auger is a powerful machine designed for professional single-operator use in horticulture and landscaping, agriculture, forestry and construction.
It is suitable for installing posts, preparing planting holes, creating drainage shafts and working on small to medium-sized foundations. The auger bits and cutting-blade spindles are designed to penetrate different types of ground, including stony surfaces.
Operating modes are selected from the control handle and shown on the integrated display. The operator can adapt the machine to lighter tasks, demanding ground conditions or engage reverse rotation to release a jammed auger bit.
The STIHL QuickStop system detects the rotational movement caused by a blocked auger and automatically interrupts drilling. Once the obstruction has been removed, the machine can be reactivated from the control handle.
A large support cushion, balanced construction and a drilling axis positioned close to the body help the operator guide the machine accurately. The transport support can be folded and locked to reduce the required storage space while protecting the QuickStop components.
This version is supplied as a tool only, without a battery, charger or auger bit. A compatible auger bit must be purchased separately for the intended application.
