The STIHL FS 561 C-EM Brushcutter is the most powerful STIHL petrol-driven clearing saw, built for professional forestry maintenance, vegetation strip management and large-scale clearing operations. With 57.1 cm³ displacement, 2.8 kW output and a 560 mm cutting diameter, it achieves very fast working progress even in the most demanding conditions — dense brushwood, brambles, tangled undergrowth and highly resistant vegetation.

The reinforced 38 mm drive shaft scales the FS 561 C-EM for intensive, sustained use in the heaviest clearing applications. The STIHL 2-MIX EU Stage V engine with M-Tronic 3.0 electronic engine management regulates ignition timing and fuel delivery in real time, accounting for temperature, altitude and fuel quality, ensuring consistently optimum performance at maximum speed with low fuel consumption. The integrated carburettor compensator maintains performance virtually constant even as the air filter becomes progressively contaminated, eliminating unnecessary maintenance stops during work.

Starting is made easy by STIHL ErgoStart: a smooth, even pull on the starter cord is all that’s required, with no sudden jerks. The manual fuel pump reduces the number of pulls needed after longer breaks. A simple slider switches between summer and winter operation.

The STIHL 4-point anti-vibration system significantly reduces vibration transmission to the hands and body, making extended working sessions considerably less tiring. The ADVANCE Grip handles provide innovative ergonomics with multiple hand positions and an intuitive side-mounted locking lever. The ergonomic loop handle supports a natural cutting movement and adjusts without tools — it can be rotated 90° for compact transport and storage. The single-handed multi-function grip integrates all relevant controls and suits both right- and left-handed operators. The stop button automatically returns to the run position after actuation, allowing immediate restart after a break.

The optimised lower guard improves visibility of the cutting attachment during work and facilitates safe storage. The FS 561 C-EM is compatible with a range of STIHL cutting tools — including the AutoCut 56-2 head, BrushCut DuroSpecial 3-blade D 350 mm and mulching blade D 320 mm — depending on the variant selected.
